A Poem by Elisa

Ice-cold and harsh
That date a total farce

Tension of an unpleasant nature
Conversation disjointed - words fracture

Bodies tight

seemingly prepared to fight

Coldness and disdain
a seemingly constant refrain

Is this the end - the final thread
To me the connections appears to have gone dead

Am I seeing this wrong?
Are my senses totally gone?

I had thought it to be a first date
but do those generally include overflowing hate

Words tossed out
Nasty looks thrown about

I want to stand
walk over and demand

That they end
this disaster unfolding before me - before it can begin

But instead I gather my things
They will have to decide - for what their bell rings
