A Poem by Davis Blake
"

"

Been a long road, been so many years,
Been putting miles between memories and
I'm always just getting by, fighting the tears that survive,
And you're always holding my hand, your memory in my heart.

Every memory of what I did, yeah i know you wouldn't agree,
but it's hard to believe, when I remember seeing you that day,
A broken angel, hell before my eyes.

With every sunrise and sunset,
With every tear down my face,
I keep moving on, another day is gone,
I keep searching for the answers to my past,
And the questions to come,
Every day's a struggle, but I know i can.

Been a long road, been so many years,
Keep putting miles between memories and
I'm always just getting by, fighting the tears that survive,
But I know I can,
Cause you keep holding my hand.
