Fly Too Close to the Sun

Fly Too Close to the Sun

A Poem by Faith Williamson

Be careful up there
With your head in the clouds
You'll fly too close to the sun
And come crashing down

You may fear the ocean waves
The blue skies seem like a better place
But it has its woes as well
Careful, or your wings might melt

I know that the stanza is probably off, but I think it's pretty okay

this reminds me of a greek myth of a man who made wings from wax and feathers. I find it quite fascinating how you can put that imagery in my mind. A real treat.
