Whitby

A Poem by Elfinpunk
"

Everything changes. Happiness to sadness, joy to loss; a year can be a world of difference.

"

Last year, such happiness

Now I stand here once again

My heart in broken pieces

Not sure how it can mend

The sun is shining on the sea

But my faith is empty

In broken shards, I stand and ask

What am I meant to do now?

Along a jagged coastal line

Our hearts entwined, our lives entwined

A piece was torn

The lives have gone

The hearts, forever, will live on.
