"

A love story in five acts

"

Up in the sky, hung the Gods magnificent bow,
Down below, walked a boy, his tread was slow.
Numerous were the goodbyes that he had said,
Yet the toughest one remained to be made.

Up on the roof, two eyes remained hidden,
Shut in grief, downwards were they bidden.
The gentle breeze carried in it a call mute,
Beckoned was she, as if by the magic flute.

The lady of memory gently took his hand,
And he saw her again, playing in the sand.
Music her voice, face as tender as a dove,
Seen had he in her eyes, the light of love.
A woman and a child, curious was the mix,
Love of his life, the lass of ten and six.

The angel of the past silently took her back,
To the day, when she felt love’s first attack.
Laughing with his friends, wind in his hair,
Noble and shy, known to be just and fair
His eyes held the promise of strength hidden
Light of her eyes, the lad of ten and seven.

And he saw her, looking down, on the roof above,
Dying sun rays, kissed her face, his pretty love.
And she saw him, on the road, standing down below,
Looking upwards, in his eyes, love’s gentle glow.

Love of my life, fragrance of my soul, my dear,
I bid you adieu, soon will I return, don’t fear.

Light of my eyes, breath of my bosom, my dear,
In spite of your words, I may shed many a tear.

Formed three words his heart, heard only by the breeze,
Checked by his pockets empty, his mind made him freeze.

Endless sorrow tore her heart, yet he remains mute,
Kiss you in all my dreams, no way can I now refuse.

Little surer of my luck, and my love, I will to you declare,
Know I cause you grief, in winter’s sun, I will lay all bare.

You are my love, you are my soul, you are the man I’ll kiss,
Yet you dare not, yet you say not, sorely you will I miss.

The sun went down behind the hills, seven colors began to fade,
Up in the sky, amongst stars, where all our destinies are made.
