SoarA Poem by PaintingWordsJust a quick poem I got inspiration from a hawk flying across my house.
I soar
Over clouds Ducking in the endless breeze I see the emerald green of the fields below While I soar The wind buffets me and I tumble in the sky One flap of my long, long golden feathered wings And I am up again Soaring through the forever blue of the sky. Twisting and turning Ducking and flapping I am an acrobat of above In the distance I catch a glimpse Of the glistening sea I look, and I see Ruby red monsters diving in and out of the sapphire blue liquid Pearly haired mermaids lying on metallic sun baked rocks And I wonder As my silvery tail flies behind me Do I belong here? Am I really one of these creatures that are proud And selfish? I wonder. Then I realise No So I soar back through the clouds And land on a lush green lawn. And then I am a bird again.
