the ocean

the ocean

A Poem by Zoe

i yawn and ponder
the violin you play
holds no meaning
but the water running clear
across my face does

seeing it flow
in mass movement
interchangable
and if i don't know how to say
i am wasting my time
i am.

i yawn again
the bow you hold further away from the wooden body

causes emotion
to creep deafly into the chasms
into the clutter
that refuses to separate heart from mind

and the moon that day was clouded over
from the breath you blew

and breathed in
as i dove under
breathed in
as i dove under

Amazing imagery, Zoe. The flow of the music and the water rushing through each line and breath. Just amazing!
