A Thousand Paths

A Thousand Paths

A Poem by elamarillo

A thousand paths were strewn before me
But I was spared the right to know

If the Earth I placed my foot on
Lead to the well down below

If I’d fill my pale with water
And bring victory back home

Or resign to my thirst
With efforts in vain
And spread my story of sorrow
