Bitter Blood

Bitter Blood

A Poem by elamarillo

Bitter blood

boils away in my veins.

Time ticks

as my lonely heart strains.

Here, I seek love

There, I seek wonder

But what I long for

Has broken asunder.

The earth before me,

varnished by rust.

The sallow air,

 perfumed by dust.

People- well, they’re full of s**t.

So, are you going to stand there listening?

Go on,

move away.

I don’t need your pity today.

I’m telling you it’s fine,

I’ll be okay.

Your sympathy stings

Now piss off, I say.

This is a great piece. Sometimes I can be a bit lacking on words to review something, but I think I have some understanding of what this poem can mean.

This is a good poem. Thank you for sharing it. I am new, I haven't figured out what the point system is. When I do I will come back.
