NEW LOVE/OLD LOVE

Insomnia >>> Muse brought the cure +++ "Write. U R shown to be lacking in that department". Read one of the poems on here. Gave me the necessary inspiration!

                  NEW LOVE vs OLD LOVE

Forsaken dreams bemoan my mind.

Drained of hope and joy I sat...

restrained, forlorn, I cried -

in abandonment....

none to quell this aching heart!

That sad farewell took with  it

a part of me >>>

that hoped, somehow, one day

we could make a fresh start,

but time and tide washed another

pon the shore >>>

and in a distance saw that like me <*>

he too was lost, forlorn!

Did best to help mend his broken heart

but found that it was way beyond repair.

Showered him with kisses, bathed him with loving care,

only to discover, only to find,

that he was of a different kind.

These memories of the one I left behind

still haunt the chambers of my heart, my mind.

How can we turn back the tide that's already

washed upon the shore?

Yet still we cling to the sweetness of those memories <*>

that will haunt our dreams forevermore!

very emotive says i! i can understand how this one flowed out so smooth and clear .. how we love love and love some more ... through the pain of loss and disappointment .. if we hold on to our courage .. we love again ... because it is worth it ;))))))))) as long as we learn from the experience. really enjoyed this sad memory lane share ... i still think of them ... often ... wishing all those "loves before" all the best ;) its one way i have moved on i guess ... great write .. loved the experience .. tho sad and painful ;(
