I WAITEDA Poem by kittyRecollections on the way it used to be. Nostalgic moments of the past.
I WAITED ...
Many moons ago since I waited for that call... Across the Milky Way I searched for you, counting many stars along its path. Cruel were those silent night(s) ... I hugged my pillow real tight. The yearnings grew - just didn't know what to do but still... I waited. Now fate has played it's part, brought you back to me. Still lingering for your touch ...your manly aura passionately takes hold of mind and heart and soul. My senses numbed with shame - for wanting you so much! for though there came another to comfort and console only you can make me lose control! Though he be of manly voice and cute physique enough to tempt and conform ... nothing can compare with your tender touch. I WAITED ... and in my dreams I prayed ... 'If only you could have stayed - to make me whole, but tempted by worldly things - you strayed'. That imaginative figment of distance and circumstances has kept us apart ... you went away and took my heart. With perfect love there is a price to pay, you deserved to have your say. I have resigned myself to think that love will never come my way since nature has provided all superficial things to entice vain men of today: left me devoid of the beauty they crave and one thought, "Only in my dreams!"
