PLANET EARTH

PLANET EARTH

A Poem by kitty

You wake up to natural disasters that continue to amaze and astound. You wonder how long will our world continue to be punished for blunders made by misguided leadership? P

                         PLANET EARTH
Cruel, yet sustainable you be
Untold tales you slowly reveal to me
Recently discovered caverns and depths I now can see
through the eyes of devoted adventurers, reveal...
the awesomeness of God's creativity.
We live in a world alongside creatures that display
on par - knowledge and intelligence to see them through
the trials of an existence that signifies a 'dog eat dog' paralel
in the struggle for survival - of the fittest!.
Mankind has honed in on knowledge bestowed on earth's creatures.
Civilization is rapidly robbing itself - in the name of 'Progress' -
of survival in the crudest sense, as life must grow in the face of destruction
Destruction brought on by 'Green house Gasses'!!!
How can we mar 'progress' on one hand = as seen through the "Eye of The Tiger"?
Life must go on regardless - till it self destructs!
Signs of 'End' - The Apocolypse. Armageddon...
but will this happen in your life time = my lifetime!

Genesis 1-24 tells the story of the ‘Creation of the World’! The flaw in the plan turned out to be mentioned in verse 25! On the other hand, fossil records tell us that life on Earth has lasted at least 3.5 billion years. In that time it has survived being frozen, clobbered by rocks from space, mass poisoning, and even lethal radiation. Clearly, it's hard to completely sterilise the planet. But there's no shortage of potential apocalypses. Which of them will finally render the Earth barren? Very thought-provoking write my friend ... :-)
