SILHOUETTE ~ Against the skyA Poem by kittyAn image that haunts my being. As if significant I seem bound by images of lone trees! SILHOUETTE ~ Against the twilight sky Silhouetted against the peachy twilight sky I admire the beauty of you ~ set up high. Backdrop of painted streaks of yellow, pink against blue... hold on to that marvelous view! Brings you close ~ from far away ~ memories live to this day! You shared with me the best days of life ... drowned sorrows, freed all strife. Soften the poundings of a care free heart. You gave such joy in youthful days. I climbed your branches ~ you stayed strong In our hearts ~ forever young! A vow to return one day, as you will forever stay. I sought you out and there upon your trunk so bold lovers made their mark, yet stories were never told. The hidden beauty of that fading tree... seems driven to obscurity. Return you to days now lost, silhouetting dreams that has no cost. Created at eventide on Wed 18th September 2019
