ALONE -The lone tree

ALONE -The lone tree

A Poem by kitty
"

I wandered all along - till I came upon a lone tree. Prompted in part by a poem I recently read on here ...'The Tree'

"
                        ALONE The lone tree
Alone I stand on the river bank of
        Llyn Padarn ...
             no one there but me.
I stood secure as rivers converge round me.
Low clouds drift slowly past, as high as can be.
Lazily I view blue skies and think of the scene I am
a part of, in this fair land...
hills and valleys they be grand!
As waters wash my stable roots, I share the
         sustenance it affords me.
Let all the people behold the strength and
          beauty around me.
Let all know the pride I feel, though all alone
in a country so beautiful and free!
                       ******
Pon the bank I stood so tall ~ so free
and through my branches I could see a land
that means so much to me ...
the greenest grass and skies so blue ...
and flowers of the brightest hue.

oh i like where your muse is going these past few pieces...

and this...from the perspective of a tree...i have often stopped and looked at very old trees wondering if those trees can think and remember all that they have seen...
so many generations for some...like my favorite trees in Vermont in the Gutterson's yard.
they saw so many of our summers there, changed their maple leaves for fall and saw us running and jumping into those piles...
watched farmer's son after son grow and have sons of their own and the farms being handed down from generation to generation.
i could feel this one, deeply...

I do! You are my bestie Kathy take care & you are most welcome always :)

there is without doubt a feeling of isolation here amid a great expanse but a feeling of positive change forms, at least in my mind toward the end... Nicely poemed indeed... N

Thank you for reading and understanding my simple verse. Much appreciated!
no more You are alone, no more the Tree is alone, You two became one, what a gorgeous poem dear Kitty, Your muse tried her best and did her best! I adore the Trees so this even ring more into me, I wish many people can be as aware as You are, that even if they are in pain or alone their heart is still open to the wonders around, they will miss something great when they don't, like here, that beautiful Tree the symbol of life, of living of a courageous spirit.
