ALONE -The lone treeA Poem by kittyI wandered all along - till I came upon a lone tree. Prompted in part by a poem I recently read on here ...'The Tree' ALONE The lone tree Alone I stand on the river bank of Llyn Padarn ... no one there but me. I stood secure as rivers converge round me. Low clouds drift slowly past, as high as can be. Lazily I view blue skies and think of the scene I am a part of, in this fair land... hills and valleys they be grand! As waters wash my stable roots, I share the sustenance it affords me. Let all the people behold the strength and beauty around me. Let all know the pride I feel, though all alone in a country so beautiful and free! ****** Pon the bank I stood so tall ~ so free and through my branches I could see a land that means so much to me ... the greenest grass and skies so blue ... and flowers of the brightest hue.
