A PURPOSE

Life as is today, we all need a 'Purpose' to go on living.

                A PURPOSE

Give me a reason to live ~ and I will live forever.

Give me a purpose to live ~ and I will stay 'forever young'.

Show me the way to love ~ and my heart will bloom roses.

Give me direction, to your heart ~ And my joy will spill

                     out to all others.

My heart, it beats a thousand times, with strength

         to accomplish the greatest feats

as long as you are by my side ~ things will always be right.

Never leave me, never let me go ~ I put my trust in you.

Changes we make, chances we take ~ when together:

we are one, from morning rise till the setting sun!

Give me that purpose, please give me ~ now!

Cross roads in life we come to and find that we need that 'purpose' in life to carry on. Life becomes mundane, pointless. We seek the drive the reason ... the search goes on!

Dear kitty, you are so right. Especially as we grow older we need that purpose to get out of bed each morning and live. I have mine in my three grandchildren who live with me and have done for the last 18 years. They still need me, maybe not for a great deal longer, but they still do. I have sick relatives who need me. I am happy to help them, that gives me purpose, and then there's my husband and poetry. Plenty there. We all need to find that purpose. It might come with faith. It might come through voluntary work, but there is so much to choose from. We may be limited by what we can do, but the onus is on each one of us, to find something. I love this poem, it will be relatable to many. Good morning from Brixham today.

Cross roads are just what they are... pauses and frustration, impatience and bewilderment. Plus, a touch of crazy now and again! But, as you say, carrying on, coping, is a show of strength to and in Selves and that matters. Having someone to care for, to trust, to share with makes life more than a dream. We all need to feel worth, give more, refuse the incidentals, and sleep nights knowing yet another day is due where changes can, might be... made!

Two cyclists who spent holidays youth hostelling
Cycling gave way to fell walking and camping
Our interest expanded Photography, craft work (A wide variety) Needle work ; drawing/ painting

Too often I see people who wander aimlessly through life without an aim in view. Life takes on a different meaning when the mind is kept occupied. Thank you for your meaningful views on this poem.

I recently took an online course money management Just to keep my mind working
I found I did every thing they said
> Except when they said to download an interest table
They asked why I hadn't so I put on a formula for interest calculation > That's to hard - I cant do that
Were the replies
First year engineering students was my only reply
So I took to writing

I find we dont have enough time to do everything

I've had my fair share of experience in various fields
- Administration: went into teaching drop out s from college, I diversified into management and retired in 2002 but felt lost in retirement and went back into the working environment. Am a people person really.
