I need please, to understand where those five lines come in the tale about hunter and the hunted.Maybe its' too early for me, or, more than likely, those words are just too complex for me to understand. So want to understand, Kitty. If your prefer to answer by messenger box, so that others can draw their own concolusions, i truly understand. Em

Hello kitty. Good to read a new poem from you. I do not like the hunter moving in for the kill. Especially when it comes to beautiful animals under threat of extinction. We should look after what we have. Your poem is thought provoking.

Glad you enjoyed my simple write.Thank you for your support.
like many, i have a deep respect for the "Tiger" ... as well as many other "dangerous" animals ... i especially like your poem's call to see through those predator eyes .. i immediately have in mind the Bengal Tigers ..near extinction (only about 3900 left in the wild) they are highly protected ... poachers do take them (if they can) at will ... as opposed to trophy hunters who may not hunt them legally .. i don't agree with most trophy hunting ... like .. why on earth would you want to shoot a Zebra??? unbelievably they do >;/ ... much of the game that trophy hunters kill ... provides meat for the nearest village ...and work for the guides, those that run the lodges, porters, etc. etc. laws are in place internationally to protect those seeking ivory ... or any endangered species ... poachers are many times the inhabitants of the land supporting endangered species ... i especially appreciate your closing verse ... its engaging and deeply seated in the connection we all should feel with our fellow animals ...something civilization has rendered all but extinct says i :(( for a "one off" your poem is hard hitting ...love being drawn in and taking the Tigers eye as my own ... i think the poachers are the bad guys ;) not necessarily "trophy hunters" ... oh the "misty blue" ..if we could only see through them ... we sadly are blind to our natural connection between each other let alone with "all thing" ... :( strong social heartfelt commentary kitty ... and the cat a perfect vehicle for your "voice"

Much appreciated, EN. giving me a different or should I say a more 'open' view of our connection with animals and nature. The cycle of existence has to go on in the name of survival, and the fittest do survive. Dont worry about the Bramer/Sheba thing. It was something I heard mentioned in the past and used it to draw attention. Ancient tribes and some sort of mombo jumbo used it to appease their gods. Thanks once more!

To do with some ancient tribe. have not researched - time forbids so it has to be ficticional. Believe it refers to some ancient Asian tradition to do with nature. A matter of 'give and take' rewarding the gods of nature. I jot a few words down promising to go back to it. Inspiration's gone ~ 'with the wind!'
I am not good at constructive criticism, But I do like your write, I thought it was intriguing and interesting. Nicely written....
