MEANINGLESS

MEANINGLESS

A Poem by kitty
"

Words can 'mean' so much in shaping our outlook.

"
                     MEANINGLESS
Meaning - less
Take away the last, negative, three letters
and you will find that life will take on a different hue.
Long term view ...
life on earth will be more positive for you:
in building a future, think of what you can do.
Technology is at hand for forward thinkers.
Why not use it - take off the blinkers!
'Time and tide waits for no man ...'
There is time in a lifetime, to change course
Think not always of the worse.
Opportunity might well keep knocking ...
till you open that door - and see what awaits you!

It is interesting how words when broken down into syllables can produce entirely different meanings. The poet here has demonstrated this phenomenon with the word "meaningless." Her point is that if you take away the negative "less," you have "meaning," a much more positive word. She then expands on this example by explaining how we can improve our lives by adopting a positive view. She's right; what you focus on, grows. Good point made here.

You are welcome...
i have a bit of concern for those going out into the world armed with so much technology, but often not a lot as far as social skills...and real touch with others.
this poem and its under layer expresses that for me.
