                      IDYLLIC ...

the countryside ...

idyllic the ride ...

down country lanes ..

in admiration of everything ~ with pride!

Streams a racing by ...

sun shining on you and I ...

little bunnies hopping in joy - fun to hide!

Memories come flooding in >>>

of pride as as a train thunder down the track

happier days ~ are back!

Relaxed are the buttercups as they sway in the breeze

birds twitter as they dance through the trees!

Where are the good old days ...

where is the gratitude we show in life ...

midst all the trouble, pain and strife?

Country folk there ~  will please:

enough laughter to put the mind at ease.

Daisies are there to meet you, 

dandelions to greet you,

in this "Idyllic" country setting

where bluebells grow  ...

mongst spikes of grass on show!

How did I miss this Kitty, I don't seem to get Writer'sCafe in the right order. Maybe i am thick but trying to get work to read is causing me problems, anyway, enough of that. I loved this piece as it took me through Spring, Summer and half way to autumn. It is the time of year to witness dandelions and other Mother nature presentations. Like you Rod I find WN easier to get round but at least we are keeping the 'ink' flowing on here. This playing about is taking the fun out of reading. Thank you for 'bearing' with me on posts. I have more in store but have to wait till the urge comes these days... part of growing old I suppose eh!

Though I've never seen this show before, this piece is like a breath of fresh air. I'm instantly thrown into memories of riding down the country side in family's truck with my head out of the window. My eyes are closed and I'm inhaling the summer's air, with a smile. Looking around, I see plots of flowers, farming lands,and even smell the ocean waters in the air. This piece takes me back to those precious moments. This reminds me of simpler times earlier in life that we forget about. Loved this. Great read.
