Even though everytime... "Goodbye."

You said you loved me.

It was just another lie.

You promised never to leave.

However, today you gleefully said, "Goodbye."

I always believed you'd stay.

I trusted you, even as I lost my pride.

I gave all the innocent "me" I wanted to keep inside.

Today you left me with nothing but the remnants of a lie.

You took all I had and laughed without any care.

You raped me of my purpose by swearing you'd be there.

I ignorantly trusted you. I believed despite all my fears.

Even though every time...

You left me alone with abandoned tears.

Betrayed, I think back, and I remember all your lies.

Painfully, I realize that every time you fed on me:

You always knew you'd say, "Goodbye."
