Tantrums... I don't try to throw them they just come up sometimes. They are manifested by some folly that blows up in my mind. I usually regret them but sometimes they are truly justified. This is especially true when someone messes with my mind. Tantrums are not just anger, they are a spiritual release. Sometimes simply having them can give you inner peace. Some call it venting while others call it being a jerk. I think tantrums are therapy so I just let them do their work.
The thing is, tantrums will be viewed one way (at, oh let's say age 16), then another much later in life.
I have a nephew that erupts (and takes on adults) at age 9. I can see—based on what he has to work with, parentally speaking—things probably won't end well unless he survives this portion of his life.
Tantrums are a measuring point to look forward to in the future...when you look back and learn, very few of those moments were actually worth all that drama. For some, yes, they can be therapeutic inwardly though others may think you disturbed. Most of the time, however, they signal other issues like a person's perception of the world and their importance in it.
Thought-provoking piece. Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
