THOUGHTS OF THE PAST

Sometimes we need to reflect on things to see where we have come from. Struggle is life but we can be grateful for what the struggle teaches us.

 

 

Sometimes I look back and meditate on how I made it here
I contemplate the struggles, lamentations, and past tears
Celebrating in joy that God helped me make it through
I reflect on lies in my past that I once thought were true
I consider the disreputable violence that tinges man's soul
I a encouraged by my cildren who are growing; smart and bold
I only linger for a moment in this reflecting pool of my thoughts
Then I thank the Lord in Heaven for the lessons my past has taught

Every experience is a lesson...what we take from it is our choice. Reflection is a wonderful thing..it can force us to embrace what we don't appreciate or change what we can't deal with anymore. fantastic poem!!
