ORBICULAR FAITH

ORBICULAR FAITH

A Poem by Eddie Phillips
"

Hold on tight to your beliefs. This world tries to make you let go and lose yourself.

"

On this ever turning spherical we struggle to hold on tight
Reveling against the empirical; we fight hard to just live right
We watch maniacally social masturbators pleasure themselves each day
As we tip toe through their legions of lunatics, who claim to know the way
Machinations of societal lunacy seek to daily molest our minds
Millions are lost to cultural madness; while some are saved in the nick of time
To live by faith is hard because demons seek to devour all that’s right
With a world smothering us with its lust; every day seems black as night
Still we keep rolling on this spherical; held together by forces unseen
We live each day by faith; as we fight hard to keep our dreams.

A convoluted surface with a simple solution, so we hope and pray. Excellent read and write.
