ANGEL IN THE MORNING

ANGEL IN THE MORNING

A Poem by Eddie Phillips
"

A simple poem of love. It's about just waking up in the morning and seeing the person you love. I hope we can all be so blessed.

"

I rediscover you; in the spectral breaking of dawns early light
The same angel in the morning that brought me rapture just last night
I stare at you in wonder, thanking God for someone so fair
You wake to meet my eyes, catching me in my enamored stare
I was blessed to finally find you, fortunate that you agreed to be mine
On this rocky side of Heaven, true love like this is hard to find
I kiss your sweet forehead; you smile and return my kiss
I pull you close into my arms and we fall asleep in embraced bliss
