IN THE SILHOUETTED DARKNESS

Never shut yourself off from the light. If you do the depression of darkness will swallow you up.

 

 

 

 

Inside the silhouetted darkness
Swims a mind in repose
Lost in a microcosm of frustration
Thoughts and dreams are juxtaposed

Madness is always reaching
As feral rage grows and swells
Exposed wounds gush life
From wrist phlebotomized in Hell

Inside the abyss of a breaking mind
Dreams implode and passions die
Nightmares propagate and foster
Listening to hope's whimpering cries

Cloaked in a endless darkness
People struggle and beg for peace
Slashing, drinking, and doping
Fantasizing that death will give release

Within the silhouetted mind
Lives nightmares and anguished fears
Hopes are dashed upon desperation
Because people feel no love is near

Yes, many people lie in their dispair. They accept it and pray for death to release them. We have light and darkness in our lives. I wanted to speak abou tthe darkness that can take you and where it comes from. Thanks for reading.
