PATRON OF MY HEART

PATRON OF MY HEART

A Poem by Eddie Phillips

 You might think it nothing
But my love has some pride
It is not a device you can play with
Or a battery you place inside
No, my love is substantial
It is real and made of soul
My love is inspiration
It makes me strong, brave, and bold
To the novice it seems like nothing
Neophytes never see it all
They only know it’s real
On the day that they really fall

I'm going to take my love's music

to a place where I belong

I am going to find a audience

that appreciates my song
This troubadour's going to sing
Love's song of a new start
And vocalize the lyrics
To the one true patron of my heart

I love the word choice here . Thats my favorite line in the piece. Overall good piece.

This is cool, but try to be selective in your words play, still worth to read, I can see now some changes in your work. Keep it up! good job.
