A Poem by Eddie Phillips
"

Be the best you can be!

"

You can't break my spirit
It is not made of glass
I am made of the strongest steel

Shaped in the cauldron of my past

You believe you can hurt me
You would be wrong to make that guess
I am blessed beyond your measure
I am perfection at its best

You can call me a vintage
I am rare and hard to refine
I was made to be an exclusive
A one of a kind design

I am not so visually transparent
I am made of the densest wool
You are the vessel I can see through
A clear glass which is only half full

Know that when you look at me
Nothing about me is a mess
You are staring at the archetype
The one, the only, the best!

Author's Note

Eddie Phillips
Be the best "you" that you can be. You are rare and you are unique. There is only one you. Relish in the fact that you are a singular archetype. You are one of a kind.

When people tell me I am weird, I just laugh and reply "I am Individualistically Unique" for I know there is no other like me in this world and that is a good thing.

This writing brought many images to mind as I was reading; that is what it should do.
Excellent.

Courageous and defiant, the thick wall in front of those that seek to destroy others to lift up themselves!

Thank you brother
Need to love yourself before you can love others. Rather than hide your weaknesses, embrace them and find that person that turns them into a strength. Good write!
