ALL YOU NEED

 

 

 

Some of us try to ignore it
We pretend that it’s just not real
Some of us just "floor" it
and race into it with great zeal

 

It can burn away inhibition
Provide warmth during cold winter storms
It's a precious gift from Heaven
Given to all of us the day we are born

 

Eternally independent
You can't plan on it in your life
Yet, it will quickly make you its victim

When it cuts into you like a knife

 

Powerful and passionate
Elusive and immense
It can reduce a great intellect
to a muddle of basic sense

 

Tasty and delectable
Ostentatious and refined
It's an unmistakable truism
that lives outside of our minds

 

Love is the emotion of grandeur
The eternal spirit's fertile seed
Ignore it, race into it, and explore it
You'll find Love is all you need
