BEHOLDEN

 

 

My soul is beholden to no man 
My heart is beholden to all 

If we stray away from caring 
Life’s evil will devour us all 

Take heed to the call of passion 
Ignore the screams of the damned 

Eternal Heaven is open to all men 
If they hold firm to God's blessed hand 

We are all beholden to each other 
Love is the commandment for us all 
We should cling in love to our brothers 
Through God's love, no man can fall

I was just scrolling through your immense amount of poems and clicked on this one not expecting to leave a review, but here I am. I love your poetry, even when it is not life changing or amazingly profound it still has an individuality and beauty that I rarely find in other poetry.

I always try to write a clearly as I can. I try to keep my writing basic so that everyone can get the message. I ascribe to the thought that if I can explain something at a base level then I know every person will get its meaning. I thank you for reading and getting the message of this poem.
