SCIENCE AND RELIGION (THE DIVINING ROD TO GOD)

Not an insult, just thoughts

 

 

You hide behind science and claim it disproves God
But I believe that science is religion's divining rod
For faith is the substance of things we may not see
Just as science says the universe expands with invisible "Dark Energy"
You say that it's a fairytale that God lives outside of time
but yet that is the relative theory that Einstein himself defined
For if there are dimensions that exist separate from where we are
Then how can you disagree that God and Heaven exist beyond the stars?

 

You say there is no eternity or resurrection of soul and mind
but in millions of hospitals medical science proves this all the time
The fatally wounded victim, who is just slipped outside of life
Miraculously reanimated in spite of medical strife
At some point they died of wounds, illnesses, or heart attacks
Yet inexplicably they live, as a resurrected scientific fact

 

What of those who died and came back from the realm of God
Telling all intricate stories that your science thinks is odd
How can they be thinking and seeing the things they claim to see?
When synapses are dying and this should not be

 

No my precious soul your hypothesis is wrong
For even your scientific facts prove that God belongs
I cannot give room to the belief that he cannot be
When your archaeologic science finds him throughout history
From Egyptian to Roman, from Germanic to Jew
God is in all history, every period thru and thru

 

You say there is no Ragnarök, no Revelation, or end times
but yet again your science points the way to the divine
The Sun will implode and burn away at the earth
My bible says this also, 2 Peter 3 chapter 10th verse
Scientist have proven that the Sun will one day implode
So here again is science giving way to what’s foretold

 

I do not write this poem to insult the atheistic mind
I write it simply to share both science and divine
For you can follow science and also walk in faith
If you see the universe as the masterpiece that GOD did create

 

Science is the Divining Rod that points to Heaven's gates
For through it we see God’s mysteries that we often take for sake
The minute intricate creations that make the universe spin
All created by a majestic God who also created men.

i believe in the truth of this...and have always wondered why the split between the two....people seem to be on one side or the other, creationism or evolution....i have always felt there is a combination of the two....really good poem eddie.

Perfectly said! I teach both Religion and science (in a Catholic school). Your poem expresses the relationship well. Knowing, for example, how a seed becomes a flower does not minimize the beauty or miracle of that flower - in fact, it makes it even more wonderful!
