LOVE OF A CHILD

LOVE OF A CHILD

A Poem by Eddie Phillips

They come to you so tiny
Skin silky soft and smooth
A seed of precious love
that blossomed and then they grew
Nothing can replace them
No words can quite define
The blessing that they bring
To your life and mine
Sometimes they act crazy
Sometimes they get wild
but nothing in this world
Can replace the love
you have for your child

I don't have a child of my own (I'm only 17; I want to wait until I'm out of college and can afford to provide my child with a better life than the one I was given), but sometimes I feel this way with my nephew. Babies are precious blessings. :)
