FAREWELL MY SWEET GIRLA Poem by Eddie PhillipsCancer steals so much, but it can never take the love.
I would like to say thanks for all that you have done You caressed me at my twinkling and built me to your Sun The messages in the morning that you left onside the bed How you made forgiveness simple after something stupid I had said Baby you were awesome a true love I cannot replace I miss you every morning that I don't see your face The tears and the frustration may fade away in time but nothing can supplant your place inside my mind Cancer may have robbed you of your body on this Earth but it could not take the love or the essence of your worth A year has passed so slowly and I miss you everyday The simple sweet smile and all the kind things you would say I know that you wanted me to move on with my life but whose shadow could ever cloak me better then the one of my sweet wife? I will try my precious darling to move on in this world but I know I will never truly get over the loss of my sweet girl. © 2012 Eddie K. Phillips
