GOODBYE TO KEMOSABE!

GOODBYE TO KEMOSABE!

A Poem by Eddie Phillips

10 years of downright lying
10 years of downright shame
You acted oh so faithful
Just so I’d do the same
Never wanting anyone to touch me
not a hug or a friendly kiss
While you were out there slumming
and getting far more than just a kiss

You couldn't keep your pants on
Seems like everybody got in
You never cared about me
Hell you didn't care it was a sin!

You wanted to be a Desperado
Freely roaming out on the plains
jumping in the saddle
with more banditos then I can name!

10 years I have been hoodwinked
10 years I have been played
But I tell you this Desperado
All that ends TODAY!

I am going to ride on out there
and find a love for myself
A girl that will love me
and never ride with someone else
A sweet loving beauty
who will never let me go
Sweet soil to plant my flowers
so I'll never need a hoe!

Yes my desert cactus
I am poked free of your lies
So I'm leaving to let you wither
So bid KEMOSABE GOODBYE!

Author's Note

Eddie Phillips
I hate it when people use others love against them. This poem is about that. A person lying to another just to keep them faithful. Oh and since the Lone Ranger is getting a revamp I thought I would use that...LOL
