THE WILDERNESS OF ENDURING

 

Once in the Wilderness of Enduring 
There walked a man of unbendable faith 
He walked alone in wrenching torment

He Bravely accepted it as his fate 

Satan continually approached him 
He tried to wear down on his perfect soul 
The man held on to God 
He knew what made him whole 

His test was the test of all men 
It is a journey we all must make 
We must walk life's desolate Wilderness 
Sometimes only comforted by our faith 

The journey will never be easy 
The burdens we carry are never light 
We must learn to hold on to God's promise 
Believing in the end that everything will be alright 

Whilst in our Wilderness of Enduring 
We should remember that simple man 
He endured unspeakable torment 
He did it to prove that we all can 

That man's name was Jesus 
He is the way and the blessed day

He cut through the dark of the wilderness 
So he could show all men the way.

Yes we all have burdens we carry and without God in our lives I can see how easily you can be lost in the darkness and be overcome by the many burdens. But with God, He can help you overcome whatever you go through and what is nice to think about is that He knows what it was like to be human.
