MY WHISPERED DESIGN

If you fix a thing in your mind..God will make it real.

 

Transfixed upon a starlit night 
Under the glow of sweet twilight 
I whispered to God my heart's design 
A pattern created from deep in mind 
From her head to toe and tip to tip 
I prayed to God for my heart’s content 
A love in time only he could make
Two hearts entwined under fate 

I whispered her, so no man would hear 
Whispered my hopes, my dreams, and fears 
I sent my request up beyond Venus and Mars 
To God who lives beyond the stars 
Then somewhere far outside of time 
God heard my prayers and made her mine 
The absolute perfection of eternal design 
Created from the pattern inside my mind 

So now enlightened upon this blessed day 
The sun is shining bright and music is at play 
I am transfixed upon eternal beauty again 
As I behold my bride coming to take my hand 
I give a glance tearfully to the heavenly sky 
I thank the Lord that made her mine 
I whisper again softly to simply say:
"Thank you for bringing her love my way."
