KEPT

KEPT

A Poem by Eddie Phillips
"

Just to remind us that God holds us in his Love.

"

In the morning you made me
You breathe life and set me free

In the day you raised me
You set my path for what would be

In the night you kept me
When trouble came you did not flee

My rock of Gibraltar, you will always be
The resolution of my problems
My strong and resilent tree.

From a child you held me

Embracing me in the favor of your love
When I erred you forgave me
Extending your grace from above.

As I walk this troubled Earth

I live according to your plan
Bless me to honor your love

Help me to be a just and decent man

Let me revisit all your kindness

Let me know your love and grace.
It will be a testimony of how you cared

Showing how you prepared me for this race

I know that no matter my troubles

No matter the harshness of life's tests
Lord you will always be my anchor
From which no storm or man can wrest.

This is a beautiful prayer, Eddie - a petition for mercy, a psalm of praise...
