ADAM'S GARDEN

 

Every man has a garden; it is something he will always own
It lives and grows inside him; it nurtures and keeps him strong
He can flourish in his garden from a boy and as a man
It is his inner world of wonder; the one place he can understand

 

Boys run through it as pirates, they play superheroes preventing crimes
As a man he entertains the perfect woman, and they dance in this garden of his mind
His garden is always there for him; it helps him live and survive
See a man's inner garden makes him strong and helps him thrive

 

As he matures the garden nurtures; his every dream, idea and care
That is why when men get lost in their garden, many don't even care
It can be lonely in the garden, as the man sits as a king upon his throne
Inevitably there will come a day that every man feels alone

 

That is when he will seek his love; his Eve, his one, his dream
He will invite her inside his garden; and she will dwell there as his queen
He will open up his garden and in it they will both abide
There their hearts and souls will be bonded together for all time

 

Everyman has a garden; it dwells inside where none can see
It is a place where he can grow, and always feel bold and free

Now this captures the moment...yet the piece is subtle and goes about the read --- I did see within the entirety the need to edit this for clarity...keep the lines more focus with less words...places that can do without them...At first sight this looked like a sonnet...have at this one again...and give it the signature it deserves...
