Never Let GoA Poem by Jose WaldoI hoped for the life of me I would never have to let goWhen I was 10 my parents left each other. On they day they told me, we sat on the couch in defining silence and forced ourselves into the harsh reality ahead. I still remember the emptiness in my heart and the sickness in my stomach. I was lost so far into the darkness all light had disappeared. The sound of my mothers trembling voice triggered a painful lump in my throat. You know the feeling. I couldn’t stand the thoughts in my head, So I grabbed my mothers shirt, I hoped for the life of me I would never have to let go. © 2018 Jose WaldoReviews
