Chapter 4

Sage and Stacy hurried off of Hogwarts Express, hoping they weren't too late. With a sigh of relief, they saw that there were still a few carriages left. Getting into one, they settled in and shared a smile. Sage looked around, making sure no one could hear them, and then leaned forward to tell Stacy a secret.

"I think George is really cute!" she said, smiling. Stacy gave her a look.

"You know he has a twin, right? They look exactly the same!" Stacy said, rolling her eyes. Sage laughed.

"Yeah, I know that. But you weren't the one 3 inches away from his face." Sage smiled, recalling the way George had looked at her after taking back the wands. The carriage started to move on its own, and then the girls heard the sound of running behind them. Turning, they saw Draco Malfoy jump into their carriage, which happened to be the last one to leave. Sage glanced at Stacy, who was looking nervous as Draco sat down next to her.

Looking at the carriage's other occupants, his sneer faltered. He looked at Stacy and Sage could swear that he almost smiled. Almost. Instead, with a look of nonchalance on his face, he politely said hello. Stacy said it back to him, and then, ignoring Sage, he pretended to be engrossed by the passing scenery. Sage mouthed, talk to him, at Stacy, but she only shook her head. The ride to Hogwarts was spent in uncomfortable silence.

Draco jumped down as soon as the carriage stopped. He started to hurry away but paused as if a thought crossed his mind. He turned back around just as Sage got off the carriage. Walking back, he offered a hand to Stacy to help her down. Stacy looked surprised but put her hand into Draco's. She stepped down and Draco put his other hand around her waist to prevent her from falling. With a quick smile at Stacy and a nod to Sage, he walked into the castle. Sage squealed and started hitting Stacy.

"He likes you! He LIKES you!" she exclaimed, jumping up and down. Stacy giggled and shooed Sage's hands away.

"He does not! He was just being polite, that's all," Stacy said, with a goofy grin on her face. Professor McGonagall spotted them standing outside.

"Girls! Come quickly! The feast is about to start! Let's not linger!" she called out sternly. Sage and Stacy giggled and ran inside. Once they reached the Great Hall, they said goodbye to each other and separated to go sit with their houses. At the Gryffindor table, Sage sat at the end that was nearest the teacher's table. She slid into her seat just as Professor Dumbldedore started his welcoming speech. After listening to Professor Dumbledore talk about the Triwizard Tournament and introduce the two other schools, Sage started eating. She talked with the girls sitting around her, asking what they they thought of the Durmstrang boys. They giggled and had a good time. After eating the last piece of the cinnamon roll that was on her plate, Sage sighed happily. She got up from the table to go to Gryffindor's dormitories.

She said hello to the other Gryffindor students she saw in the corridors. Sage blushed when she came across an attractive Durmstrang boy who smiled at her. As she walked up the stairs, she greeted the paintings who all waved and smiled at her. Sage smiled. It was great to be home. Spotting her sister up ahead, she ran and caught up to Rachel. Pulling her aside, Sage grinned.

"I've got so much to tell you! You wouldn't believe what happened on the train ride here," Sage exclaimed. Rachel smiled and indicated for her to go on. Sage told Rachel what had happened, starting with running into Fred and George all the way to the confrontation about their wands. Rachel was laughing when she finished.

"Sage, you're a complete and total genius," laughed Rachel, "I don't know anyone who's done anything like that to the twins. Great job on the whole food dropping part!" Sage laughed along with her younger sister, and together they walked into Gryffindor's dormitories.
