Many layers of possible meaning, a favored vehicle one hasn't enough time for, a companion rushing to a fate wishing for delay's to have time to think, a decision that needs to be made quickly while wishing for time to consider. Amazing how three little lines can possess a gateway to so many possibilities, masterfully done my friend. Standing Ovation! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

Typically, red lights are dreaded, for they seem to take away time. However, they can also bring time, which is certainly lacking in this world. You have a beautiful way of crafting the perfect words and creating a meaningful poem... Well done!

This is a fine Haiku!
It starts out slowly, and the ending packs the perfect punch, putting emphasis on the narrative as a whole. Fine job, Elizabeth.

:) in a hurry and red lights never mix do they ... your comment calls this a Winter Haiku .. i am going to have to think about that for a while ..not sure how winter plays in .. i lived a long time in South Dakota and winter driving demands taking time .. the first snow most assuredly produced at least 200 fender benders as people adjusted their "time" ...

It's amazing how you can describe something in such a simple way, and yet still end up with a very meaningful display of beauty and power...I hope you know how talented you are...God bless..

Sincerely,
Tori...
