A Poem by Elizabeth J. Gelinger
"

Summer Haiku

No more pretty words
The silence won't let me write
Because I don't love

Going on separate ways, where like a part of the story has gone void, with no more emotions left to give or to take. Thank you for sharing the words of "Closure"

Interesting concept, the absence of love ties the tongue and drys up the words to silence the poet. I have seen this happen a time or two, it is a cruel fate for a crafter of words but an outstanding haiku for you. I give it five out of five Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

Silence can be deadly. In my free days. Better noise of bars and cafes to weaken the pain and the sorrow. I do understand this poem. Thank you Elizabeth for sharing the excellent poetry.

...and already you've found a truism of poetry... for it to have emotion YOU have to feel.

But there comes a time
the silence becomes so loud
tears are personal...
