My Windows

My Windows

A Poem by Eun Jee Nikki Kang

You keep telling me how stupid I am

For using Windows on my Mac

But there is one thing you don’t really realize

The fact that you are like the Windows on my Mac

You’re standing in a crowd

Where you don’t belong

Smiling up but looking down

You’re against all odds and evens

Of nature itself

Like my Windows does not belong on my Mac

You don’t belong where you stand

But I can’t help being reeled

Into your peculiar eyes

Drawn into the complexities of your mind

You’re standing where you don’t belong

You’re against all odds and evens

But to tell the truth

Wherever you stand

If you’re still you

I don’t really mind
