Squeeze

Squeeze

A Poem by Twinkle

There's a pressure to condense me
all around, firm and powerful
It pulsates without easing
Although I break free a moment;
It returns tighter

I'm strong
I don't have to put up with it
To struggle for freedom is pure
everyone demands it
But the same throw down their authority
on others, lashing with it
such multitudes rise as a labyrinth
an airtight box for life

Well, the walls are narrowing
I can't push them away
when they build walls between walls
Impossible.

So much concrete suffocates the air
And I gasp, to inhale what little pockets scream away

The walls only pull back
when I pass out.
