Chances

Chances

A Poem by blurredlines

I try to pay attention

to your continual signification

to things that I don't readily appreciate

things that I don't think substantiate

me.

Because I still am convinced that you

will tear my entirety in to

nothing. I can't bear

to be wrong again, it's not fair

that eternal f****n damnation for

having an opinion and being so sure

is mine.

I easily am thrown into question

always oscillating in my desperation

to enter the know. Here I stand

willing to drop everything and take your hand

if you ever managed to convince me

that it was yours.

My justification is perfect

in my head. But somehow it never has the effect

I'd want it to. How can you expect

for me to follow in blind fate? I reject

your attempts to give me a light

cuz I've already got one. It's not very bright

but the shadows guide me.

Send me guidance in the form of love

cuz I'm tired of being shoved

in different directions and afraid of pushing

back.

Don't teach me more cuz I know

everything I'd ever need. Just show

me the path through the mead

and I swear I'll follow your lead

till even the shadows cease.

I understand more than I'll let on. And I feel stronger than I let on. But if you pay attention. You'll see right through the translucent silence. more..
