Trusting cherubs

Trusting cherubs

A Poem by Jean-Pierre Garcia
"

Chances of rain, and a little glitter

"
Playing with fire and trust
sprinkled with androgynous glitter

this life so glam

but because it's nicer when you're around
a glimmer is all they see
of the faith I show in you
but where is that for me?

encircling my sewn self doubt
believe me
I care too much to let it all go
but wasn't honesty best
when were the rest
blinking blind
un-re-quit
acquitted in trial or so we assume
the falsity antecedent-ily
wrong and unclear
like arrows and cherubs
insipidly abducted by cupid

because we are men
we all act quite stupid.

I'm a gnomic meanderer. I have just the right amount of neuroticism to lock myself in my room to write, but somehow have faked myself out of it by writing on the go or for the student newspaper I wo.. more..
