Fickle Returns

Fickle Returns

A Poem by Jean-Pierre Garcia
"

It doesn't work this way

"
Oh what a fickle heart
mine
that loves the world
so broadly and earnestly
it wishes for a specific requited reprieve

Alas for a person to love the world
and hoping for such love to return
a whole worlds proportional response
Another person's amount reflected back
in Newtons third law

'Tis a loan to give
and receive
willingly doled adeptly
indebted to a person living alone

I'm a gnomic meanderer. I have just the right amount of neuroticism to lock myself in my room to write, but somehow have faked myself out of it by writing on the go or for the student newspaper I wo.. more..
