Make it right

Make it right

A Poem by Jean-Pierre Garcia
"

Hungry and restless

"

Or you could try and shut the door to your room

and in the process shut the non-existent blinds

that bar you from the rest of the world

but no, my door is open

straight into my chest

abreast the very art

a heart

shiny golden

just in the way you feel

There's more influence there than is known

at home, the very tone is to be alone

how do I get her to talk

telling secrets when she's in charge

and won't let you stand atop the box

of soap-the sounds

a soup full of platforms

and rights and stories to be told

never again set aside timelessness

for things more timely

and if it's irrelevant wishing doesn't make it so

its in the doing, the making

taking charge of what's at store

arguing the night shift manager

breaking through the monotony is your goal

it's your one chance

take it to keep breathing

and living through more

limes smelling soft in your hands, clean fruit

that's bitter to taste

much like the proccess of blurring through the clock.

I'm a gnomic meanderer. I have just the right amount of neuroticism to lock myself in my room to write, but somehow have faked myself out of it by writing on the go or for the student newspaper I wo.. more..
