Anxient consequence

Anxient consequence

A Poem by Jean-Pierre Garcia
"

Instigating anxiety

"

My thoughts written

on white ribbon

printed black letters

jet lining though a bazaar

where hand dumps jeweled treaseurs

ink and otherwise known truth

in chests

it passes through

ricocheting off canyon walls

I try to pass the ink off

instead of the message

so close to hurt

spirals are graceful ways to fall

on to turtle backs

unless you have something

to push through

could that be anxiety?

Just like a market

the hands change quickly

and if you aren't paying

attention you will find yourself

wishing for that lamp

and three wishes

straight back to when she hadn' yet told you

that you had a consequence

and wondering to ask

but the questions get muddled

when the ribbon gets soaked black

dropped in the ink

not knowing who it is you originally sold

can't quite trust the measurements here

after all could miscut

give the lad some slack

with stern eyes

find that eyeing merchant

before they all catch on

and hide him

bobaghem

vie boheme

hey ya

my leave is so stupid guessing

the guessor of the game

but they don't all know what's been done

she would be fair

knew she would be

except the fair thing is how cruelly equal

pain has been

again and then

still?

moan.

I'm a gnomic meanderer. I have just the right amount of neuroticism to lock myself in my room to write, but somehow have faked myself out of it by writing on the go or for the student newspaper I wo.. more..
