Done

Done

A Poem by Jean-Pierre Garcia
"

There are some hip hop themes. It reflects a speaker's life in southern California.

"

Didn't want to father where suns had been fatherless
Heartless where my mother's vodka was
didn't want to bang the drum of a broken glassed thug
but I did

working a street corner
gas station
ripping the sign off
for my cousins wall
inking my letters over somebody elses

Pulling my socks up
to a softball chant
I hit the damn thing
over and over

But I still miss
climbin my fence line

I'm a gnomic meanderer. I have just the right amount of neuroticism to lock myself in my room to write, but somehow have faked myself out of it by writing on the go or for the student newspaper I wo.. more..
