All WayA Poem by Jean-Pierre GarciaThis is more a stream of conscious delving deeply into the connections and relationships between people and society.[More poeming] [More from A] A person is the other which makes him -or her- weak and strong respectively in heart-sick grief-despair we seek company amongst us, our wrong selves who-too are in need of repair alway-s trying to fix what little we understand of what it takes to be a man when it isn't fair to expect "prepared listening" to bells... -have you tried it?- Why is it that "all" and "way" combine for a plural which we never can find?-(Always) but there's something missing an L, it's just Al and his ways but am I b-reaking in thinkin' of "we" pregress further into a circled red line again the root of every mistake keeping score the horrors rattling in our mind Outside the wells of mentality the denial of a killing attempt disregard of our own mortality not questioning: "Is it suicide If I have also died?" offing our emotions first The feelings I know I can't keep high or hid for myself or for her Is it worse that our bodies hunger and thirst almost as much as our brain inadvertently causing pain to the hiv-e think and aid within to spite the test just another reminder for what's at store when I love you? And rest That I'm scared to ending again my revision to my living condition ignoring the wisdom "from the heart" I can't be, even though I see as I tear you and me a part not quite by accident or on purpose either in the way I treat, sir. All Way wondering what the hell it meant to kiss you on the wood floor of tango and merengue or again at your door falling down the autumn hill as the leaves stir in the most beautiful thing but... It's still a dream just a poem. © 2010 Jean-Pierre Garcia |
