Weapons of Mass DistractionA Poem by Jean-Pierre GarciaA song submission for a seattle punk band
Brushed past the idle time
waist deep in IOU's and cab fare burnt in fluorescent effervescent eye bulbs tubes glued on the screen and cones with mismatched colors that are days old unshaved and i don't care another pass at an attempt of a past out tax exempt office it's lawless flawed in how we guess between irises and I buffer along mistakes in recognition turn key ignition we lit as if tonight was too nautical fueled by full length realized gloss released on the next ep or maybe even vinyl lip caught in games that trouble the very symptoms of foot-in-mouth-disease prognosis being final just a bit worse than gingivitis we try to invite this, the remarks and side comments harked while looking downcast at the four day forecast painted in a future that is yet to come. Let me broaden this message full signal wifi that clicks on to clicked people connecting bereft dis-shelved personalities unlike books or routines vibrant like magazines: short words they're digest-able condensed past the point of water-down soup cooped and couched in an uncouth aging youth that looks shiny in a flash-bang stunned-- hand Grenada it's childhood or what's left can't promise much There's rent to pay
